Advanced Sniffer Example Crashes

The example found under:
Espressif -> ESP32 -> Advanced Sniffer
When uploaded to a NodeMCU ESP-32S crashes with the following message:

The board has no additional modules or connections to it. It’s plain on a board with a USB cable.

Since it’s an included example in the platform, I tried finding some help regarding the error, but was unable to find any.
Does anyone know how to control this error, or patch it; or if works only on some type of board?
